Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s National Assembly has officially approved the federal Budget 2026-27 after a key session held under the chairmanship of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. The approval came following detailed deliberations on the Finance Bill for the upcoming fiscal year.
According to the Finance Bill 2026-27, import duties on vehicles between 2000cc and 3000cc have been set at 86 percent, while duties on imported vehicles above 3001cc have been increased to 92 percent from July 1.
The bill also includes tax exemptions for Pakistan Navy Benevolent Association and the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). In addition, selected welfare organizations including provincial social security institutions, Orangi Town welfare bodies, and Make-A-Wish Foundation have also been granted tax relief.
Following the approval, the Speaker adjourned the National Assembly session until 11:00 AM on the next working day.
