Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a strong warning to India, saying Islamabad would respond forcefully to any future aggression.
Speaking during an interview on the television programme “Capital Talk” hosted by Hamid Mir, Khawaja Asif reacted to recent remarks attributed to the Indian army leadership and said India was still dealing with the consequences of previous confrontations with Pakistan.
“If India challenges Pakistan again, we will change its geography and turn it into part of history,” the defence minister said during the interview.
Khawaja Asif also dismissed the possibility of renewed military strikes on Iran by either the United States or Israel, stating that the international community was not in favour of further conflict in the region.
Commenting on discussions surrounding a possible 28th constitutional amendment, the defence minister said no formal conversation on the matter had yet taken place within the federal cabinet.
The remarks come amid continuing tensions between Pakistan and India as well as broader regional instability linked to developments in the Middle East. Analysts say the latest statements reflect heightened political rhetoric at a sensitive geopolitical moment in South Asia.
