ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir are making extensive efforts at every level to help resolve tensions between the United States and Iran.
Naqvi made the remarks after meeting US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker, where both sides held detailed discussions on the latest regional developments.
According to officials, the meeting also focused on diplomatic efforts related to a second round of talks expected to be held in Islamabad.
Both sides emphasized the need to keep diplomatic channels open to find a long-term solution to the US-Iran conflict.
Naqvi praised US President Donald Trump for efforts aimed at extending the ceasefire.
He said Pakistan hopes all parties will give diplomacy and peaceful negotiations a fair chance.
Natalie Baker also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region, according to the statement.
The development highlights Islamabad’s growing diplomatic role as global powers seek to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
