PM Shehbaz Calls Cabinet Meeting on Middle East Crisis

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the federal cabinet to brief members on the evolving situation in the Middle East and Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements, according to official sources.

During the meeting, the prime minister is expected to take the cabinet into confidence on recent developments in the region, including ongoing Iran–United States talks and broader geopolitical tensions affecting regional stability.

Officials said Shehbaz Sharif will also provide an update on his recent outreach to friendly countries and his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia. According to sources, the Saudi Crown Prince has extended an invitation, and the final dates of the visit are currently being finalized.

The proposed visit, expected within the next 48 hours, is likely to include high-level meetings with Saudi leadership. Discussions are expected to focus on regional security, Middle East developments, and international diplomatic coordination, including efforts related to Iran–US relations.

The government has not officially confirmed the final itinerary, but sources indicate the trip will play a key role in Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement during a period of heightened regional tensions.
