Pakistan Condemns Attack on Kuwaiti Consulate in Basra, Iraq

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack and vandalism at the Kuwaiti Consulate in Basra, Iraq, calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

A Foreign Office spokesperson stated that the incursion and desecration of the consulate violate international diplomatic norms, including the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Pakistan emphasized that the security and sanctity of diplomatic and consular missions must be ensured under all circumstances.

The spokesperson called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident, stressing that those responsible should face legal consequences. Pakistan expressed full solidarity with the Government and people of Kuwait and reiterated its principled stance on respecting diplomatic missions and upholding international obligations.
