Iran’s Deputy Sports Minister Calls for Human Chain to Protect Power Plants

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Deputy Sports Minister, Alireza Rahimi, has announced a nationwide human chain initiative to protect the country’s power plants. The campaign, set for this afternoon, aims to send a strong message that attacks on public infrastructure constitute a war crime.

According to Rahimi, young citizens, athletes, and national sports figures across Iran will participate in the event near all major electricity plants. Participants will link hands, forming a symbolic chain to safeguard critical energy infrastructure and demonstrate public solidarity.

Officials stated that the initiative highlights the importance of protecting national assets amid rising regional tensions and serves as a reminder that infrastructure security is a shared responsibility.
