Abu Dhabi Air Defense Debris Injures 12, Including Nepali & Indian Nationals

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Web Desk: Abu Dhabi authorities reported that 12 people were injured after debris fell following a successful air defense interception in the Al Ajban area.

Officials said the incident affected several foreign workers: six Nepali and five Indian nationals sustained minor to moderate injuries, while one Nepali individual was critically wounded.

The UAE’s air defense systems successfully neutralized the threat, and emergency services promptly responded to the injured, providing medical attention. Authorities are investigating the incident further to assess safety measures and prevent similar occurrences in densely populated areas.

The incident highlights the challenges of urban air defense operations, particularly in areas with high civilian presence, amid rising regional tensions and the need for vigilance in protecting critical infrastructure.
