Washington / Tehran – Web Desk : Human Rights Watch (HRW) Director Sarah Yager has criticized the US strike on a school in Iran, calling it a violation of international war laws.
According to Yager, investigations indicate that the US military attack on the girls’ school in Manab, Iran, may have breached rules designed to protect civilians during conflicts. She emphasized that even if the strike was not deliberately aimed at a school, it cannot be dismissed as a simple error.
Yager stressed that the US military is responsible for taking all feasible precautions to protect civilians—a duty that, according to preliminary findings, was not adequately met in this case.
She added that the incident highlights the need for reforms and accountability in the US military to prevent civilian casualties during conflicts.
