Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: A Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNCS) chartered vessel carrying Saudi crude oil to Pakistan remains safe, officials confirmed, despite delays caused by the temporary closure of the Strait of Hormuz following drone attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities.
PNCS sources stated that the Greek-owned vessel, P.ALIKI, has completed its crude oil loading and is anchored safely in open waters away from the port. The ship had already departed the port well before the reported attacks, ensuring its protection.
The closure of the strategic Strait of Hormuz has trapped around 150 vessels, including two PNCS-operated ships. Another PNCS-owned oil tanker, the Karachi, is currently stationed in the Persian Gulf, also affected by the navigation delays.
Officials emphasized that the tanker carrying crude oil for Pakistan remains secure, and maritime operations are being closely monitored to mitigate further risks caused by regional tensions.
