Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s military has reported significant progress in its ongoing cross-border counterterrorism operation, Operation Ghazab ul Haq, targeting Afghan Taliban positions.
According to Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar, the operation has so far resulted in the deaths of 435 Taliban militants and injuries to more than 630. During the offensive, Pakistani forces destroyed 188 enemy posts and captured 31, including 188 tanks, armed vehicles, and artillery guns.
The Pakistan Air Force also targeted 51 Taliban hideouts, intensifying aerial strikes to support ground operations. Minister Tarar emphasized that the operation is a direct response to terrorism and unprovoked attacks originating from Afghanistan and is aimed at ensuring regional stability and national security.
The Pakistani military has consistently framed the operation as a defensive and retaliatory measure, highlighting professional coordination between ground and air forces. Officials stressed the continued vigilance along both borders to counter cross-border aggression and to protect civilians.
