Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during his official visit to Doha. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to an official statement, the leaders reviewed all aspects of Pakistan-Qatar bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthen fraternal ties. They emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation across sectors of mutual interest.
The Emir reiterated Qatar’s commitment to elevate economic partnership with Pakistan to a strategic level. The discussion also covered regional and international developments, with both leaders highlighting the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful conflict resolution.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination on key regional issues. Notably, the Emir accepted Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s invitation to visit Pakistan, with the visit scheduled for later this year.
