Karachi Launches Late-Night Operation Against Illegal Constructions

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) conducted a late-night operation against illegal constructions in Karachi’s Mahmoodabad area of District East, officials said.

Authorities said the operation was launched on the directives of Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah after an illegal building was found under construction without mandatory approval from the SBCA. District East police and local administration supported the operation, and heavy machinery was used to take action against the unauthorized structure.

The Director General of the SBCA said illegal constructions would not be tolerated and legal action would be taken against those involved. He also warned that departmental action would be initiated against any SBCA official found negligent or complicit in such activities.

Officials said operations against illegal constructions across Karachi will continue as part of efforts to enforce building regulations and urban planning laws.
