Focus on trade, investment, IT, ports and long-term economic cooperation
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Web Desk: President Asif Ali Zardari met UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai, where both leaders agreed to further strengthen Pakistan–UAE bilateral relations.
The high-level meeting was attended by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asifa Bhutto Zardari. Discussions focused on expanding trade, boosting investment, and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides also exchanged views on leveraging Dubai’s successful development model for Pakistan’s growth. President Zardari briefed the UAE leadership on ongoing reforms and privatization initiatives in Pakistan.
The meeting emphasized increased collaboration in ports, logistics, and information technology sectors. President Zardari extended an invitation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to visit Pakistan.
The United Arab Emirates reaffirmed its continued support for Pakistan’s economic development and appreciated the positive role played by the Pakistani community in the UAE.
