ISPR confirms suicide bombers neutralized in Quetta, Gwadar operations
Quetta, Pakistan | Web Desk: Pakistan’s security forces have successfully foiled multiple terrorist attacks across Balochistan, killing 92 militants, including three suicide bombers, during coordinated counterterrorism operations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
According to ISPR, India-sponsored terrorist elements attempted to destabilize the province by launching attacks on January 31 in several cities, including Quetta, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni.
The military’s media wing stated that the attacks were aimed at targeting civilians to spread fear and unrest. In Gwadar and Kharan, terrorists killed 18 civilians, including women, children, and laborers.
Security forces responded swiftly, neutralizing 92 terrorists across multiple locations. ISPR added that the total number of terrorists killed in Balochistan over the past two days has risen to 133.
During clearance operations, 15 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom, ISPR confirmed.
The statement further revealed that the attackers were acting on the instructions of terrorist leaders operating from outside Pakistan and remained in direct contact with foreign handlers during the assaults.
ISPR said sanitization and search operations are ongoing in affected areas, stressing that planners, facilitators, and supporters will be brought to justice. Operations under Azm-e-Istehkam will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated.
