2 Girls Killed, 8 Injured in Lakki Marwat Blast

Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan – Web Desk: At least two girls were killed and eight other people injured in a suspected explosion near a mosque in the Khairo Khel Pakka area of Lakki Marwat district, police said.

According to police officials, reports of a blast near the mosque were received on Friday, prompting an immediate response from rescue, emergency, and security teams.

Rescue personnel shifted the victims to a nearby hospital, while security officials secured the area and began collecting evidence. Authorities also recorded statements from witnesses and assessed the situation at the scene.

Police said investigations are underway to determine the nature and cause of the explosion. Security agencies have cordoned off the area and launched a detailed inquiry into the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast, and officials have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
