(Web Desk) – What could be termed an extremely unfortunate incident reported from Tandlianwala, a woman in Ghosia Colony in the limits of Mamun Kanjan police station, bit off the tongue of her husband with her teeth on Wednesday.
Irum bit off her husband Muhammad Zaheer’s tongue, on the pretext of kissing him.
Consequently, Zaheer’s tongue began to bleed profusely.
Police shifted the injured man to a hospital.
However, the husband has refused to take action against Irum.
Zaheer, who worked in Lahore, had returned home after 15 days, sources said, adding that the incident took place over a domestic dispute.
Separately, in a police encounter in Jhang, a police constable was injured, and a drug-peddler Safdar alias Safdari Gutt, was killed by the firing of his accomplices.
The encounter took place near a protective embankment in the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station, Jhang.
Police said that some accused were riding a motorcycle. When the police signaled them to stop, they started firing on the police team.
In retaliation, one accused, Safdar alias Safdari Gutt, was killed by the firing of his accomplices.
His other accomplices escaped from the area, taking advantage of the darkness. The dead accused Safdar alias Safdari Gutt was involved in eleven criminal cases, including drug-selling.
Police said that the accused was involved in firing on the police team in the past. The police constituted various police teams to apprehend the accomplices of the accused.
