The USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, has entered the Mediterranean Sea and is moving toward the region, according to ship-tracking data. The carrier strike group is currently transiting the Strait of Gibraltar, signaling an accelerated deployment toward the Middle East.
US President Donald Trump last week ordered the carrier strike group to be sent to the region as Washington continues to weigh potential military options against Iran.
