US Peace Board Meeting May Announce $5B Gaza Fund

Date:

WASHINGTON, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump is set to host the inaugural meeting of his newly proposed “Peace Board” in Washington on Thursday, with discussions expected to focus on Gaza’s reconstruction, strategic planning, and financial support mechanisms.

The White House had formally invited 50 countries to join the board, aimed at coordinating diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives related to Gaza. According to sources, 35 global leaders have expressed interest in participating, while 26 countries have formally joined as founding members. At least 14 countries reportedly declined the invitation.

The primary agenda of the inaugural session is a comprehensive Gaza reconstruction framework. The Gaza Strip has suffered widespread destruction following months of intense conflict, triggering a severe humanitarian crisis.

The US administration is also pushing diplomatic efforts toward a ceasefire and post-war recovery initiatives. Officials are expected to announce a proposed $5 billion multilateral fund for humanitarian relief and reconstruction in Gaza, in coordination with participating member states.

Additionally, details of a proposed International Stabilization Force may be unveiled, which could be deployed to help ensure security and stability in Gaza during the recovery phase.
