US Navy Helicopter Crashes in Arabian Sea, 1 Service Member Missing

Manama, Bahrain – Web Desk: A U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush crashed into the Arabian Sea on Wednesday, leaving one service member missing and three others injured, according to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

The incident occurred during routine flight operations while the helicopter was conducting a replenishment mission. While the three recovered crew members are in stable condition aboard the carrier, search and rescue operations are underway to locate the missing aviator [citation:1].

Preliminary reports indicate no immediate evidence of enemy involvement, though an investigation has been launched into the cause of the crash.
