Trump Says Iran Nuclear Talks Moving in the Right Direction

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has claimed that negotiations with Iran are progressing positively, saying efforts to ensure Tehran does not acquire nuclear weapons are moving “in the right direction.”

According to international media reports, Trump said relations between Washington and Tehran were improving and described the latest round of discussions held in Doha, Qatar, as productive.

“We’re doing very well. Iran has come a long way, and I think they’re happy,” Trump told reporters, adding that discussions on Iran’s nuclear programme had been constructive and that further developments would become clearer in the coming days.

He said the United States had held “very good meetings” with Iranian representatives and expressed confidence that the diplomatic process was advancing.

According to informed sources cited in the report, US and Iranian officials held technical-level talks in Doha on Wednesday, discussing maritime security, including the movement of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as efforts to maintain a sustainable ceasefire.

Sources further said that Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff also met with the Qatari Prime Minister during the visit to discuss the broader framework of the negotiations.

The meeting reportedly focused on the progress of the diplomatic process, although the sources said neither Kushner nor Witkoff would directly participate in the negotiations.

The latest diplomatic engagement comes amid continued international efforts to reduce regional tensions and revive dialogue over Iran’s nuclear programme and broader security concerns in the Middle East.
