Washington, USA – Web Desk: Tensions between the United States and Iran have intensified, raising fears of potential military conflict. Reports indicate that the US has deployed its second aircraft carrier strike group, the Gerald R. Ford, into the Mediterranean, while fighter jets have taken positions at US airbases in Portugal and Jordan.
According to British news agencies, any potential US strike on Iran could target senior Iranian leaders directly, with operations aimed at destabilizing the Iranian government. At least 60 US fighter jets are reportedly stationed at Jordanian airbases in preparation for possible action.
Iran, meanwhile, has signaled readiness for both diplomatic engagement and military defense. President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that global powers are attempting to pressure Iran into submission, but the country will not bow to external pressure.
The escalation follows an ultimatum issued by US President Donald Trump, giving Iran 10 to 15 days to reach a new agreement. Analysts warn that the deployment of US forces to the region may heighten regional instability and increase the risk of armed conflict in the coming weeks.
