WASHINGTON, United States – Web Desk: The United States Department of Defense said US forces have seized another vessel in the Indian Ocean that was allegedly transporting oil linked to Iran.
In a statement posted on X, the Pentagon said US forces carried out an operation overnight against an unregistered, sanctioned vessel identified as M/T Majestic X, alleging that it was transporting Iranian oil.
The statement said Washington would continue global operations aimed at disrupting what it described as illegal networks and vessels providing material support to Iran.
The Pentagon added that international waters cannot be used as a shield by sanctioned entities and said it would continue restricting the movement of vessels involved in unlawful maritime activities.
This marks the second such operation by US forces against a vessel allegedly carrying Iranian oil in the past three days, highlighting rising tensions in regional waters.
The latest development comes amid growing geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran, with global energy markets closely watching maritime security developments.
