Washington, USA / Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Rising tensions between the United States and Iran have sparked concerns of a possible military confrontation, with reports indicating that the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier has entered the Mediterranean, carrying dozens of fighter jets.
Media sources also report that U.S. fighter jets are now positioned at bases in Portugal, while at least 60 aircraft are stationed at a Jordanian airbase. Analysts claim that in the event of an attack, the U.S. could directly target Iranian leadership, aiming to weaken the Iranian government, though officials have not formally confirmed this.
Iran, in response, has adopted a firm stance. President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that global powers are attempting to pressure Iran, but the country will not yield. He emphasized that Iran is prepared for both diplomatic engagement and defense.
The escalation follows a warning from U.S. President Donald Trump, who gave Iran a 10–15 day ultimatum for a potential deal. Experts warn that the latest developments increase regional uncertainty, prompting calls from the international community for renewed diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East.
