CENTCOM issues stern warning to Iran: Unsafe moves near Hormuz will not be tolerated
Washington, USA – Web Desk: The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued a strict warning to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) amid announced naval exercises in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial international trade route. CENTCOM emphasized that unsafe or provocative actions, including unauthorized maneuvers near American ships and aircraft, will not be tolerated.
The statement underlined that US forces will ensure the safety of all personnel, vessels, and aircraft, while urging Iran to conduct drills professionally, safely, and in line with international maritime law. CENTCOM warned that any unsafe or hostile behavior could escalate tensions and trigger a strong response.
Iran’s military drills come at a critical time, as over 100 commercial ships pass daily through the Strait of Hormuz, making the area strategically vital for global trade and oil transit.
