Washington/Tel Aviv – Web Desk : US and Israeli forces have escalated military operations against Iran, with US B-2 bomber aircraft beginning missions targeting Iranian military and strategic sites.
According to the US Central Command, these operations aim to degrade Iran’s future military capabilities. Earlier strikes reportedly hit cities including Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz, targeting weapons storage and production facilities.
Meanwhile, Israel claims to have hit over 200 targets in the past 24 hours, with fighter jets conducting extensive air raids on Iranian military installations, weapons production sites, and storage depots.
In a parallel move, the United States has relocated the THAAD missile defense system from South Korea to Israel, strengthening Israel’s defensive capabilities amid escalating regional tensions.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth asserted that Iranian leadership has reportedly gone underground, describing the strikes as the strongest so far, and emphasized that operations will continue. He also stated that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz should not cause global alarm.
The unfolding operations reflect the heightened US-Israel coordination and ongoing concerns over Iran’s military and nuclear potential.
