UP CM’s Controversial Remarks Spark Outcry Over Muslim Rights

Date:

Lucknow, India – Web Desk: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has come under intense criticism after making controversial remarks about Muslims during a public address in Assam.

According to media reports, Yogi Adityanath stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could allegedly “remove Muslim infiltrators” from Assam and claimed that every Muslim could be identified and expelled from the state.

He further mentioned that in Uttar Pradesh, public prayers on streets would no longer be allowed, and loud religious announcements from places of worship would face restrictions.

The comments have drawn widespread criticism from political and social groups, with human rights activists warning that such statements could harm communal harmony and escalate societal divisions.

This development comes amid ongoing debates in India over religious freedom and the rights of minority communities, highlighting rising tensions in the political landscape.
