Two Offloaded at Karachi Airport Over Fake UN Asylum Papers

Date:

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration authorities offloaded two Cambodia-bound passengers at Jinnah International Airport after allegedly recovering suspicious documents, including purported United Nations asylum applications.

According to FIA officials, the passengers were travelling on valid Pakistani passports and visas when they were stopped during immigration clearance. A search of passenger Sunil Gill’s mobile phone reportedly revealed multiple documents, including asylum-related applications addressed to the United Nations.

Among the recovered files were papers linked to the name Kapaks Victor I.M. Samuel, allegedly intended to support an overseas asylum claim. During preliminary questioning, Gill stated that Victor Samuel was assisting him in asylum-related matters. However, Samuel reportedly denied the authenticity of the documents, claiming they had previously been used for a US asylum application.

The FIA said initial findings point to suspected misrepresentation and possible facilitation of illegal migration. Both passengers were offloaded and handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further investigation and legal action. Authorities said inquiries are ongoing.
