Trump Will Decide If Iran Talks Fail, Says White House

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said that US President Donald Trump will take a “necessary decision” if Iran does not engage in negotiations in good faith.

In her statement, Kelly reiterated that President Trump has repeatedly made clear that Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

She added that Iran is currently “militarily weakened, economically under pressure, and more isolated than ever,” while stressing that the US president has all options available to address the situation.

“If Iran does not negotiate in good faith, President Trump will make the necessary decision for national security,” Kelly said.

The White House further stated that Trump has clearly outlined his red lines, including preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Officials warned that if Tehran does not comply, the United States could consider strong measures in response.
