Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a suspect involved in preparing fake documents and operating an illegal travel agency, according to an FIA spokesperson.
The FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle conducted a raid in Karachi’s Saddar area at an illegal travel agency named “M/S Gold Travel and Tours,” targeting networks involved in human smuggling and visa fraud.
During the operation, the suspect Muhammad Rashid was arrested. Authorities also recovered 56 Pakistani passports, fake and suspicious rubber stamps, counterfeit bank documents, and digital evidence from the premises.
Preliminary investigations suggest the accused, along with his associates, was involved in preparing forged bank statements, guarantee letters, and other fake documents in exchange for large sums of money to facilitate Chinese business visa applications.
FIA officials said a case has been registered under relevant laws, while raids are ongoing to arrest other members of the network. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to taking action against human trafficking, visa fraud, and document forgery across the country.
