Trump warns Iran over nuclear ambitions amid rising tensions

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated that the United States will “under no circumstances” allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, adopting a firm stance amid escalating geopolitical tensions.

Speaking at an event at the White House, Trump claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been significantly weakened, asserting that the country no longer possesses an effective navy, air force, or advanced radar systems. He added that Washington’s strategy toward Tehran has been “highly successful.”

The U.S. president further alleged that 159 Iranian vessels had been destroyed at sea, though he did not provide independent verification. Despite the strong rhetoric, Trump emphasized that he is not in favor of war, stating that he prefers avoiding military conflict.

However, he warned that Iran could face consequences “beyond imagination” if tensions continue to escalate. Trump also expressed optimism that resolving the standoff with Iran could lead to a decline in global oil prices, a key concern for international markets.

In his remarks, Trump also touched on broader issues, including potential engagement with China, expressing interest in meeting Xi Jinping during a possible future visit.

Analysts note that the latest comments come at a sensitive time, with rising tensions in the Middle East and ongoing concerns over nuclear proliferation, regional stability, and global energy security.
