Washington, DC – Web Desk: President Donald Trump has declared that the United States will not exit the ongoing war with Iran until all American objectives have been achieved, warning that an early withdrawal would allow the same problems to resurface within years.
Speaking at an event in Florida, Trump said: “If the US exits the conflict now, the issue could re-emerge a few years later. We cannot leave Iran quickly until our goals are achieved.”
The President reiterated his firm stance that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. “If Iran is not stopped, Israel and Europe could face severe threats,” he warned.
Trump also claimed that Iran’s navy, air force, and leadership have suffered significant damage. “Iran’s top leadership has been eliminated. I regret that, but these elements were dangerous,” he said.
Trump added that he does not want to speak extensively about the Iran situation until operations are complete, stating that past US presidents should have taken these actions earlier.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, the President noted that approximately 400 oil-laden ships are currently stranded there. “If this route opens, global fuel prices could drop significantly,” he said.
The President made clear that the US will not rush to end the conflict in order to prevent another crisis from emerging in the future.
The remarks come as a fragile ceasefire between the US-Israel alliance and Iran has held for over three weeks, but diplomatic efforts for a lasting agreement remain deadlocked.
