Trump Unhappy With Iran Ceasefire Proposals Sent Via Pakistan

Date:

Washington, DC – Web Desk: President Donald Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with new Iranian ceasefire proposals conveyed to Washington through Pakistan, saying Tehran is demanding things he cannot agree to.

Speaking to the media, Trump confirmed that telephone conversations with Iran are ongoing. “Iran wants a deal, but things are not moving forward. Iran is asking for things we do not agree with,” he said.

The President stated that he is not happy with the situation regarding Iran and reiterated that he does not want Iran to possess nuclear weapons.

Trump described Iran’s current leadership as “confused” and claimed there is no unity among them. “One person says something, someone else says something different. The Iranians do not even know who their leadership is,” he said.

However, the US President did not specify what exactly in the new Iranian proposals he finds unacceptable.

Respect for Pakistan

Trump once again expressed respect for Pakistan, stating: “I have great respect for Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Field Marshal.”

The remarks come as Pakistan has emerged as an official mediator between Washington and Tehran, with Iran confirming that Islamabad holds mediator status. A fragile ceasefire between the US-Israel alliance and Iran has held for over three weeks, but diplomatic efforts for a lasting agreement remain deadlocked.

Neither the White House nor Pakistan’s Foreign Office has provided further details on the specific proposals or the status of mediation efforts.
