Trump Says 4 Aircraft Operational After Saudi Airbase Strike

Date:

Washington, D.C., United States — Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump said that aircraft targeted during a recent incident at a Saudi airbase were not destroyed, dismissing media reports suggesting significant damage.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said the airbase in Saudi Arabia had been targeted several days earlier but insisted the aircraft stationed there remained largely unaffected. According to the president, four out of five aircraft at the base are “fully operational and functional.”

Trump criticized several major media outlets, accusing them of spreading inaccurate reports about the incident. He specifically mentioned The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, claiming they had published misleading coverage regarding the alleged destruction of aircraft.

The U.S. president argued that such reporting was intended to create a negative perception of the situation and undermine American efforts in the region.

Trump also stated that the United States would ensure the reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes. The waterway is critical to global energy markets, as a significant share of international oil exports passes through it.

The remarks come amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and heightened scrutiny of security developments affecting global energy supply routes.
