US President claims global tension eased, signs international peace charter in Davos
US President Donald Trump officially launched his proposed “Board of Peace” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, signing the charter alongside leaders from 20 countries. Trump hailed recent US foreign policy as a driver of global stability, claiming the end of eight wars and a significant reduction in international tensions.
Speaking on Iran, Trump praised US operations on Iranian nuclear facilities last year, claiming they neutralized Iran’s nuclear capabilities and opened the door for negotiations. On Syria, he highlighted US-led efforts against ISIS, asserting that regional security has improved for Europe, the US, and the Middle East.
The Board of Peace aims to provide an effective international platform to resolve conflicts, with 59 nations reportedly engaged in Middle East peace efforts. Leaders from Bahrain, Morocco, and other countries attended the signing ceremony, symbolizing growing global interest in collaborative diplomacy. Trump emphasized the US will continue working with the UN and other global bodies, warning that Hamas must disarm to prevent further escalation in Gaza.
This initiative represents Trump’s latest effort to position the US as a central force in global peace and security diplomacy.
