Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjhar has issued strict directives to ensure foolproof security across the province during the holy month of Ramadan 2026.

The minister emphasized the safety of citizens and their property as the top priority, ordering enhanced security arrangements at mosques, imambargahs, shrines, and public Taraweeh gatherings. Additional personnel will be deployed at sensitive locations during suhoor and iftar hours.

Security measures will include walk-through gates, comprehensive screening systems, and monitoring at major commercial centers, markets, and shopping malls. Snap checks, mobile patrols, and intelligence-led operations are to be intensified, with CCTV surveillance strengthened through command-and-control monitoring.

Minister Lanjhar also stressed maintaining sectarian harmony by engaging religious scholars and coordinating with local police and volunteers at iftar points. Traffic management plans are to be rigorously implemented in congested areas, with extra personnel on key routes and strict action against illegal parking. Citizens will be informed in advance through traffic advisories.

Additional directives include special patrols and help desks for women and families, alert emergency response units, and ambulances. The minister underlined that no negligence will be tolerated and instructed police, Rangers, and relevant agencies to work together for comprehensive, effective security and traffic management throughout the month.
