Date:

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Web Desk: Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has lauded the team’s comprehensive performance against Namibia, securing their spot in the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Speaking after the match, Agha highlighted opener Sahibzada Farhan’s maiden T20I century, making him only the second Pakistani to achieve a hundred in Men’s T20 World Cup history.

“Sahibzada Farhan has been performing consistently for Pakistan over the last six months,” Agha said.

The captain also praised mystery off-spinner Usman Tariq, who took four wickets, describing him as a challenging bowler for opposition teams.

Looking ahead to the Super 8 stage, Agha emphasized the importance of spinners in Sri Lankan conditions, stating, “It will be a game of cricket against Pakistan,” and underlining the need to fully utilize the team’s spin resources.

Pakistan will open their Super 8 campaign against New Zealand on February 21.
