Karachi, Sindh – Web Desk: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stated that the province has successfully eliminated terrorism and is now focusing on eradicating criminal gangs operating in the Kacha areas.
Addressing a passing-out ceremony of police officers in Saidaabad, the CM praised the bravery of Sindh Police in maintaining peace and security across the province. He recalled recent incidents where officers lost their lives, including three martyred in Dadu and DSP Ali Raza in Karachi.
“Previously, terrorist attacks, bombings, and target killings were common. Thanks to the courageous efforts of our police, we have eradicated terrorism in Sindh,” he said.
Murad Ali Shah highlighted the scale of police operations: from January to December last year, 1,325 encounters were conducted, resulting in 207 criminals killed. This year alone, 115 encounters have led to 27 criminals killed, 82 injured, 81 arrested, and 153 surrendered.
The CM expressed confidence that Sindh Police would tackle Kacha bandits with the same valor, ensuring law and order is fully restored. He also noted that while Sindh has achieved peace, terrorism incidents continue in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
