RAWALPINDI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued its seventh non-bailable arrest warrant against Aleema Khan in connection with the November 26 protest case. The court conducted hearings against Aleema Khan and 11 other accused related to the demonstrations held on November 26.
Neither Aleema Khan nor her legal representatives appeared in court during the recent hearing, leading to the issuance of the seventh non-bailable arrest warrant against her. Additionally, the court was presented with a report regarding the freezing of Aleema Khan’s bank accounts.
The financial report revealed that Aleema Khan maintains accounts in various banks, including those associated with Namal University and other welfare organizations. Banks that have failed to provide their account reports have been served notices by the court.
Following these proceedings, the court adjourned the case until November 6 while keeping the arrest warrant active. It is also noted that a case against Aleema Khan and the other 11 accused has been registered at Sadiqabad Police Station as part of the ongoing investigation.
This development marks a significant step in the legal proceedings related to the November 26 protests, signaling increased judicial pressure to ensure accountability from the accused.
