(Web Desk) – The International Cricket Council has announced the nominees for the Player of the Tournament award at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan among the standout contenders.
Farhan delivered a remarkable performance throughout the tournament, scoring 383 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. His campaign included two centuries against Sri Lanka and Namibia, making him the only batter to score two hundreds in a single edition of the tournament.
The Pakistani opener’s consistent performances played a key role in keeping Pakistan national cricket team competitive during the global event.
Among the other nominees is Sanju Samson of India national cricket team, who impressed with strong batting displays during the tournament.
England’s Will Jacks, South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi and Aiden Markram, as well as New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert, have also been shortlisted.
Another notable nomination is Shadley Fen Scolovik, representing the United States national cricket team, highlighting the growing impact of emerging cricket nations in global tournaments.
The shortlist reflects players who made major contributions with the bat, ball, and in the field, shaping key moments during the T20 World Cup.
