Rain Threatens Pakistan vs New Zealand Super 8 Clash

Date:

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Web Desk: Rain is likely to impact the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 8 match between Pakistan and New Zealand, scheduled for Saturday at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Cricket fans have described the contest as a high-stakes and thrilling encounter, but weather conditions could disrupt play, as several matches in Sri Lanka have already been affected by rain.

According to AccuWeather, there is a 74 percent chance of rain in Colombo, along with forecasts of strong winds.

Under ICC regulations, no reserve day has been allocated for Super 8 matches in the T20 World Cup 2026. If a minimum of five overs per side cannot be completed due to rain, the match will be abandoned, and both teams will receive one point each.

The outcome could significantly influence the race for the semi-finals, making weather conditions a crucial factor in the group standings.
