Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Punjab government has announced a series of events from May 8 to May 10 to mark what it described as the “Battle of Truth” commemorations.
Punjab Information and Culture Minister Uzma Bukhari said that large-scale celebrations will be held at Liberty Roundabout in Lahore on May 8 and 9, including a major concert featuring patriotic songs and performances.
She added that on May 10, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will attend a special ceremony, describing the occasion as a moment of collective sentiment shared by the public and government.
Bukhari said the events reflect what she termed a year of achievement, calling the occasion a symbol of national resolve and unity. She also paid tribute to the armed forces and martyrs, saying the day would be observed as a formal celebration.
Officials said preparations are underway for the three-day programme, which is expected to attract large public participation in Lahore.
