Peshawar, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is witnessing rising internal tensions after an interview given by Alima Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan. The party’s National Assembly member Shandana Gulzar expressed strong disapproval in the PTI parliamentary WhatsApp group.
Without naming anyone, Gulzar described the statements as stemming from “shock, age, and severe mental stress,” adding that women at this stage of life should be with their grandchildren. She also referenced February 8, the date of a video showing Alima Khan celebrating Basant.
Separately, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar dismissed claims about disciplinary action against former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur as “fabricated.” He said the party had not decided on any action, and emphasized that internal differences cannot be allowed to affect the party. Gandapur, he noted, had apologized in a video statement, demonstrating goodwill. The party’s primary focus remains the release of its founder, Imran Khan.
