Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened the week with strong gains as the KSE-100 index surged by over 3,000 points to reach 153,627 points on Wednesday.
The rally continued from Tuesday’s close, when the index gained 837 points to settle at 150,016. Analysts attribute the upward momentum to strong investor confidence amid ongoing global and regional market fluctuations.
Asian markets showed mixed performance amid tensions in the Middle East. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose nearly 3 percent, while Malaysia’s market climbed over 1.5 percent. Conversely, Thailand’s SET Index gained a modest 1 percent, and both China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng registered minor declines.
Market experts suggest that PSX’s rally reflects investor optimism and the resilience of Pakistan’s equity market despite regional uncertainties.
