Kabul, Afghanistan – Web Desk: A newly formed group, the National Mobilization Front (NMF), has declared an organized opposition against the Afghan Taliban regime, citing concerns over extremism, oppression, and human rights abuses.
According to the group, the NMF was established by young leaders from northern and eastern Afghan provinces in response to the Taliban’s authoritarian policies, state-backed terrorism, and regressive governance.
“The Afghan people have no choice but to stand against the Taliban. A significant portion of the population is struggling with political, social, cultural, and economic challenges under Taliban rule,” the NMF said in a statement.
The group framed their movement as a moral and civic duty, comparing it to the jihad against the former Soviet Union, and labeled the Taliban as occupiers rather than representatives of the Afghan people.
The NMF emphasized that Afghan sons and daughters are ready to protect their homeland from the Taliban’s oppressive control, warning that the regime is resistant to dialogue and remains entrenched in darkness and ignorance, according to their statement.
Experts note that the formation of the NMF highlights growing domestic resistance to Taliban-backed terrorism, human rights violations, and the suppression of women, minorities, and education. Observers suggest that this movement could become a powerful voice for Afghan civil rights and reform.
