President Zardari Arrives in China for Key 5-Day Visit

Changsha, China – Web Desk: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Changsha on a five-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and expanding economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency, the president was warmly received upon arrival by Hu Xusheng, Vice Chairman of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress. Also present at the استقبال were Jiang Zaidong and Khalil Hashmi.

During his stay in Changsha, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with provincial leadership and visit Shaoshan, the birthplace and former residence of Mao Zedong.

The visit is expected to witness the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the Government of Sindh and Chinese companies, focusing on investment, trade, and development cooperation.

Officials say the trip will contribute to further strengthening strategic partnership, economic collaboration, and projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship initiative of regional connectivity.

Earlier, President Zardari departed for China from Lahore, where he was seen off by Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider.
