Israel Strikes Hezbollah in Lebanon After Netanyahu Order

Beirut, Lebanon – Web Desk: Israeli forces have launched intense airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon following orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a move that risks further escalation in the region.

According to international media reports, the Israeli military confirmed it had begun targeting Hezbollah facilities, offices, and shelters in southern Lebanon. A military spokesperson said the strikes were carried out on the direct instructions of Netanyahu.

The Israeli army stated that the targeted locations were being used by Hezbollah to launch attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, posing a significant security threat. Officials said the operation aims to neutralize these threats and prevent further casualties.

The escalation comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Lebanon, with concerns growing over a potential widening of the conflict.

Notably, the strikes follow recent developments in which the United States announced a three-week extension of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon earlier this week. Analysts warn that the latest military action could undermine fragile diplomatic efforts to maintain stability in the region.
