Pope Leo Warns World Controlled by ‘Cruel Leaders’

Date:

Yaoundé, Cameroon – Web Desk: Catholic Church leader Pope Leo has sharply criticized global leadership, saying the world is being driven toward destruction by “a few cruel rulers” while massive funds continue to be spent on war and violence.

Speaking during a visit to Cameroon, the Pope said that those who promote conflict often pretend not to understand that destruction happens in moments, while rebuilding societies can take a lifetime.

He further stated that billions of dollars are being allocated to warfare and destruction, while essential sectors such as healthcare, education, and humanitarian recovery remain severely underfunded.

The Pope’s remarks come amid growing global concern over rising military spending and ongoing conflicts across multiple regions.
