Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Qatar after concluding his visit to Saudi Arabia and held a meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, officials said.
The leaders discussed regional developments, with a particular focus on rising tensions in the Gulf region. The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Qatar and condemned attacks against Qatar and other countries.
Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in key areas including security, energy, and trade, and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening long-standing Pakistan–Gulf relations.
PM Shehbaz stressed the importance of de-escalation and dialogue for regional peace and stability.
Earlier upon arrival in Doha, the Prime Minister and his delegation were received by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. A ceremonial guard of honour was also presented by the Qatari Armed Forces.
Qatar Air Force fighter jets escorted the Prime Minister’s aircraft upon entering Qatari airspace, extending a ceremonial aerial welcome. The Prime Minister thanked the Qatari leadership for the warm reception.
