PM Shehbaz, Chinese Envoy Discuss Middle East, Peace Efforts

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with China’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and Islamabad’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace.

During the meeting in Islamabad, the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its strategic partnership with China, describing bilateral ties as strong and enduring.

Sharif said Pakistan would continue close coordination with Chinese leadership to further strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors. He also conveyed his best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.

The Chinese envoy appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalation and long-term peace in the region. Both sides reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in the face of regional challenges.

The meeting comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with Pakistan actively engaging in mediation and diplomatic outreach efforts.
