Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia following a recent attack on the Al Jubail oil facility, during a phone call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday.
Sharif condemned the assault and reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity, saying, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brothers and sisters.” He also praised Saudi Arabia’s restraint under the Crown Prince’s leadership.
The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
Details regarding casualties or the extent of damage from the attack have not yet been released by Saudi authorities.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office earlier condemned a series of missile and drone strikes attributed to Iran against energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region, describing the attacks as a “serious violation” of sovereignty and a dangerous escalation.
Separately, Pakistan’s top military commanders criticized the strikes as “unnecessary escalation” that undermines ongoing peace efforts. In a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), corps commanders emphasized that Saudi restraint has created room for diplomacy, but continued aggression could derail regional stability.
The military reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy, vowing to play a responsible role in promoting peace in the region.
